"Dubai is a prominent world venue to showcase the innovations of this airplane," said Randy Tinseth, vice president of Marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "Boeing is proud to share the 787 with our customers, partners, employees and other important stakeholders in the Middle East."

The airplane was originally used for flight testing but has been elegantly refurbished to showcase the standard capabilities and features of the 787. Further plans for the airplane will be announced at a later date.

The 787-8, the first member of the 787 family of jetliners, is a twin-aisle airplane that accommodates 210-250 passengers on routes between 7,650 and 8,200 miles (14,200 and 15,200 km) – making it the only mid-size airplane capable of long-range routes.
