WICHITA, Kan., April 29, 2026 — Boeing [NYSE: BA] is investing $380,000 to inspire the next generation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) innovators, ensure that veterans and military families have the tools and resources they need to thrive, and to advance programs aimed at eliminating hunger.
Boeing’s investment includes five Wichita grant partners: Wichita State University, Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech), the Kansas Aviation Museum, Passageways Wichita and the Kansas Food Bank.
Through these grants, Boeing will fund community partner programs that create STEM education initiatives and scholarships, increase resources and support for veterans, and provide food and supplies to those in need.
“Boeing’s continued investment in Wichita demonstrates the impact of strong partnerships between industry, academia and the local community,” said Sen. Jerry Moran. “I’m grateful to Boeing for supporting Kansans by bolstering STEM education for the next generation and increasing opportunities for veterans and their families and underserved members of the community. These resources will provide Kansans with the tools they need to succeed and help make certain our state remains a leader in aviation, technology and innovation.”
“It’s great to see a company with such deep roots in Wichita investing in generations to come,” said Sen. Roger Marshall. “By equipping students with the tools they need to succeed, standing by our veterans, and making sure Kansas kids have food on the table, Boeing is strengthening this community from every angle – and cementing Wichita’s place as the Air Capitol of the World well into the future.”
“Boeing’s $380,000 investment is a big win for the Air Capital of the World. By supporting STEM programs at Wichita State and WSU Tech, Boeing is helping grow and expand the skilled workforce we need for the future, while their support for our veterans and Wichita families shows a real commitment to our neighbors in the 4th District,” Rep. Ron Estes said. “This is exactly the kind of partnership that keeps Kansas strong.”
“Investing in Wichita is investing in the future of aerospace and our community. We are not only strengthening our workforce pipeline but also ensuring every individual in Wichita has the opportunity to succeed. Boeing’s commitment reflects our belief that innovation and community go hand in hand, and together we will build a stronger, future-ready Wichita for generations to come,” said Dr. Sean Black, general manager and vice president, Boeing Wichita.
Wichita-area grant partners shared the following statements:
“Boeing is committed to supporting positive change in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Bea Billups, Boeing State Advocacy and Global Engagement central region executive director, “We look forward to working together with these nonprofit partners in Wichita to provide more resources and opportunities for communities where education and workforce development open doors to success and every individual can thrive.”
