Boeing Statement on Asiana Airlines Accident
SEATTLE, July 28, 2011 -- The Boeing Company wishes to extend its profound condolences to the families and friends of the crewmembers involved in the Asiana Airlines 747-400 Freighter accident off the coast of South Korea.
At the request of the Korea Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board (KARAIB), Boeing is sending investigators with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board to provide technical assistance to the KARAIB.
In accordance with the international protocol governing aviation accident investigations, all inquiries about the investigation must be directed to the KARAIB.
