Boeing Continues KC-10 Fleet Support Under Contract Extension

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 27, 2008 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] is continuing to support the U.S. Air Force's KC-10 Extender aerial refueling tanker fleet under the KC-10 Contractor Logistics Support program. The company received a $307 million contract extension in January that allows KC-10 support to continue uninterrupted until a new competitive contract is awarded this summer. Boeing provides depot-level maintenance and modifications, supply-chain management and other critical support tasks to the Air Force from its Support Systems facility in San Antonio, pictured here. Support Systems employees returned 45 KC-10s to the Air Force last year. The service currently operates nearly 60 KC-10 aircraft.
