Boeing executives joined in to begin the expansion of the Hoi Ninh Primary School. Breaking ground for the construction are, from left to right: Pham Thanh, professor, Hanoi Economic and Technical College (originator of the project); Chris Flint, director of Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes; Ryan Russell, United States Embassy; Pham Minh, Vietnam Airlines; Tom Leckinger, country representative, Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF); Paul Walters, Southeast Asia vice president, The Boeing Company; and Wendell Endley, rehabilitation program director, VVAF. Boeing and Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation are working together to double the classroom capacity, improve sanitary facilities, add access by disabled students and provide for administrative/medical facilities at the school.
