Boeing and Nippon Cargo Confirm Order for More Boeing 747-400 Freighters
Boeing confirmed today that Nippon Cargo Airlines has added two Boeing 747-400 Freighters to the carrier's previous order for eight of the big cargo jets, two of which have been delivered. A launch customer for the 747-8 Freighter, NCA anticipates that the 747-400Fs and 747-8Fs will increase fuel efficiency by 18 percent and 36 percent, respectively, over the 747-200Fs that the carrier currently operates.
