Air Algerie Adds Eighth Boeing 737-800
Airline Operates One of Largest Next-Generation Fleets in North Africa

Air Algerie's latest fleet addition, a Boeing 737-800, departed Boeing Field in Seattle yesterday for its home base at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers, Algeria.

Air Algerie now flies thirteen Next-Generation 737s, making it one of the largest operators of that model type in North Africa . Currently its fleet includes five 737-600s and eight 737-800s. The carrier will add another two 737-800s in August of 2006.

Air Algerie offers extensive connectivity both north and south to Europe and West Africa, as well as east to west to the Middle East, Turkey and the Gulf Region.

Hamid Zeghmi, Boeing Commercial Airplanes international sales director, said, "Air Algerie is following on a steady course of growth that utilizes the superior economics of the Next-Generation 737 coupled with exemplary service and a dedication to quality for its passengers."
