Vietnam Airlines has completed the final agreement for the purchase of four Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, with plans for the 787 to be its future mid-sized, twin-aisle jetliner. Vietnam Airlines became the eighth announced customer and a member of the launch team for the 787 in December 2004. Customer announced orders and commitments for the 787 now total 252 airplanes, including 128 under firm contract.
