Boeing Issues Statement on SALE 737 Announcement
In response to Tuesday's announcement that Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise intends to order 20 Next-Generation 737s with options for 20 more, Boeing issued the following statement:

Boeing is pleased that Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) has selected the Next-Generation 737 to reach a wider range of airline customers and significantly develop their global business.

The Boeing 737 features the newest technologically advanced design in its class and is the category leader in reliability and operating costs. SALE's choice of the 737 signifies the lessor's confidence in the airplane's value, global customer base, technology, flexibility, reliability, economics and environmental performance.

"Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise is a world-class lessor, and this is a great testimony to the appeal of the Next-Generation 737," said Scott Carson, vice president, Sales -- Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "SALE recognizes the value of the 737, a favorite among both full-service and low-cost carriers, and a proven profit generator that provides operators with superior operating economics and passenger appeal."

As a valued customer, Boeing looks forward to continuing to work closely with SALE as it expands its operations and brings its unique offerings to the aviation industry.
