Boeing's Mike Anderson Named Deputy Program Director of the V-22 Joint Program Office

Mike Anderson of Boeing (NYSE:BA) Naval Systems has been named vice president and deputy program director of the Bell Boeing V-22 Joint Program Office.

In this position, Anderson will report to John Lockard, vice president and general manager, Boeing Naval Systems and Bob Kenney, vice president and program director of the V-22 Joint Program Office. His appointment is part of a planned rotation between Boeing and Bell Helicopter, both part of the V-22 Joint Program Office management. Anderson will be based at the Bell V-22 Assembly Center in Amarillo, Texas.

Anderson will also serve as the senior Boeing representative of the Bell Boeing joint venture, reporting directly to Lockard. "Mike brings to this new position an impressive breadth and depth of aerospace experience, including working as the Boeing Philadelphia V-22 program manager," said Lockard.

"Mike's experience in production and assembly, will be extremely valuable in Amarillo as we move closer toward a V-22 full rate production," said John Bean, Bell Helicopter sr. vice president.

Most recently, Anderson was the Boeing F/A-18E/F program manager responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance on the Super Hornet program. Prior to that assignment, Anderson was director, Naval Systems Integration; program manager for the V-22 Osprey and site manager for Philadelphia; director, TACAIR Delivery Operations; director, F-15 Assembly; director, F/A-18 Assembly; and director, Production Integration Engineering.

Prior to joining Boeing, Anderson spent 27 years with the U.S. Navy, flying many different types of aircraft and accumulating more than 1,300 carrier landings. He served as the commanding officer of Strike Fighter Weapons School and commanded two Hornet squadrons. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from North Carolina State University.
