Boeing Delta II Launch of Air Force GPS Satellite Scrubbed

Today's launch attempt of a U.S. Air Force Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite, GPS IIR-13, aboard a Boeing [NYSE: BA] Delta II rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., was scrubbed.

At approximately 43 seconds left in the countdown, a hold was called due to an issue involving the launch database system, and the launch team was unable to address and resolve the issue in time to meet the end of the launch window.

Boeing and the Air Force will make another attempt on Nov. 6, during a 28-minute window that opens at 12:39 a.m. EST.

Boeing will provide updated launch information at (714) 896-4770.
