The first round of high-speed wind tunnel testing for the Boeing 7E7 has recently been completed. Four different wing configurations were tested during the effort. High-speed testing approximates the performance of the airplane during the cruise phase of flight. Engineers will use the data to further refine the design of the airplane. Additional rounds of wind tunnel testing will continue through 2006.
