The fuselage sections for the first Boeing [NYSE: BA] 777-200ER for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines are joined together to form an airplane body at a factory in Everett, Wash. (USA). The jetliner, scheduled for delivery to KLM in October, will be the first to incorporate the first fully certified Class 3 Jeppesen Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), using hardware from Astronautics Corp. The EFB puts all the information needed to fly the airplane -- manuals, weight-and-balance information and more -- at the pilot's fingertips in digital form. KLM is the first Dutch airline to purchase the 777, world-famous for its passenger comfort and advanced technology. KLM has four 777-200ERs on order and has signed leases for six more.
