Delta IV Launch of DSCS III B6 Postponed

Boeing [NYSE: BA] and U.S. Air Force officials postponed the launch of the Defense Satellite Communications System spacecraft, DSCS III B6, aboard a Boeing Delta IV rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), Fla.

The launch team will be replacing an antenna associated with the rocket's flight termination system, and the work will not be completed in time to make the last day of the range availability assigned for this mission on Aug. 5.

Boeing is coordinating with the Air Force to determine a new launch date based on the next availability in the launch range schedule at CCAFS.
