Boeing Air Traffic Management Names New Engineering and Programs VP

Gina DeSimone will join Boeing Air Traffic Management (ATM) as vice president, Engineering and Programs, effective February 3, DeSimone will oversee the execution of ATM programs and all engineering activities.

In her current assignment, DeSimone is the senior site executive for Boeing at its facility in Huntsville, Ala. In this role, she is responsible for space, missile defense and satellite business activities and the overall operation of the Boeing Huntsville site, which employs approximately 3,000 people.

"Gina has a strong record of achievement at Boeing and is a great addition to our team," said John Hayhurst, ATM president.

Since joining Boeing in 1982, DeSimone has held a number of program management and engineering leadership positions, including director of Marine Systems for Boeing Electronic Systems & Missile Defense; director of Business Processes; director of Quality Assurance; and chief engineer for Standoff Weapons at the former Tactical Missile Systems Division.

DeSimone will be based at ATM's McLean office. She replaces Dennis Muilenburg, who took a new position at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems earlier this month.
