Parents and teachers can show children the principles of flight in a fun, interactive way by going to the new Boeing Safety Web Site. The site contains a flash media demonstration that shows how jetliners fly in a clear, easy-to-understand way. The three-part module demonstrates the principles of aerodynamics such as lift, gravity, thrust and drag, the parts of the airplane that control flight, and how engines work.

Educators interested in teaching students the principles of flight have a new tool at their disposal on the Internet.

A new Boeing Web site contains extensive information on aviation safety. Of particular interest to parents, teachers and young aviation enthusiasts is the flash media demonstration that shows in a clear, easy-to-understand way how jetliners fly.

The interactive module introduces the principles of aerodynamics such as lift, gravity, thrust and drag, the parts of the airplane that control flight, and how engines work. The demo is suitable for students from elementary school and up.
