Anne Eisele, 35, has been appointed director of media relations for The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA). In this position she is responsible for the external communications of the $58 billion aerospace company. This includes maintaining contact with print and broadcast journalists, serving as a company spokesperson on corporate matters and coordinating media relations efforts of the company's business units.
"In her three years with Boeing, Anne has earned an excellent reputation for her knowledge, responsiveness and credibility. We are extremely pleased to have her join our staff," said John Dern, vice president of public relations.
Eisele was previously director of media relations and executive communications at Boeing Space & Communications Group, where she was responsible for coordinating the media relations activities of about a dozen field sites in promoting the business unit's programs and corporate capabilities to diverse public audiences.
She began her career as a researcher and project manager at The Washington Post before moving to Space News, where she covered NASA, the Pentagon and commercial space programs
Eisele is a graduate of Duke University and earned her master's degree from the University of London's University College.
She replaces John Dern who was recently promoted to vice president of public relations at Boeing World Headquarters.
