Amidst a sea of reporters and onlookers, Turkish Minister of Transportation, Oktay Vural, flies the Head-Up Display (HUD) simulator inside Boeing's exhibit at the Civil Aviation and Airport Equipment Exhibition AIREX 2002 in Istanbul. Along with the Transportation Ministers of India, Morocco, Yemen and Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Vural was on-hand to see and learn about Boeing's ongoing commitment to value-added technology. The HUD, which displays pilot information at eye-level, is one of several new technologies Boeing is offering its customers to further enhance the safety of the global air transportation center. Boeing owns 70 percent of the commercial aircraft market in Turkey, with eight airlines operating 737s.
