For the first time ever, easyJet, the largest low-cost airline in the United Kingdom and soon to be the largest in Europe, is collecting three new Boeing Next-Generation 737 jetliners in one month. Boeing is delivering the three airplanes, shown here together at Boeing Field in Seattle, to easyJet over a 12-day period in June. The airline, which is modeled after low-fare carrier Southwest Airlines in the United States, has only 737s in its fleet. easyJet, which has been growing at about 40 percent a year, recently announced plans to expand further -- with the acquisition of two airlines -- Go Fly and the option to acquire Deutsche BA.
