Boeing to Feature Broad Spectrum of Products, Services at FIDAE 2002

The Boeing Company, the world's leading aerospace company, is proud to be one of the principal participants in this year's FIDAE 2002 Air Show (Feria Internacional del Aire y el Espacio), taking place April 1-7 in Santiago, Chile.

The Boeing exhibit, located in Hangar G, Stand 11 at Los Cerrillos Airport, will display graphic panels, videos and models featuring a broad spectrum of Boeing products and services including the 767 Tanker/Transport, Apache Longbow and Chinook helicopters, Joint Direct Attack Munition and Harpoon missiles, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter, the complete family of Boeing commercial airplanes and Boeing Business Jet.

In partnership with VARIG Airlines, on static display will be a Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 airliner in VARIG livery. The airplane embodies some of the latest design technologies available in the single-aisle market. It also features an in-flight entertainment system with drop-down liquid-crystal displays. The airplane will be open for walk-throughs.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes executives will give two presentations at FIDAE on April 4. Nigel Lee, director of Interiors and Modifications, will provide an update on Boeing enhancements to airplane security to industry representatives. Daniel da Silva, vice president of Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean, will give a briefing titled "Manufacturer's Outlook of the Future Role of Latin American Air Transportation."

Boeing also is pleased to be the sponsor of the International Air Transportation Association's gala dinner the evening of April 3.
