In the final stages of production before delivery to El Al Israel Airlines, Air France and American Airlines are three 777-200ER (extended range) airplanes on the flight line in Everett, Wash. The three carriers are among the 33 airlines worldwide that have ordered a total of 563 of the medium-size, long-haul twinjets. As of March 8, 325 777s have been delivered. The 777 has a 99.1 percent schedule reliability rate and recent independent passenger preference polls have found that three out of four passengers prefer the Boeing 777 over the competition for long-haul flights.
