Boeing Wins First Contract For Linearized Satellite Amplifiers Valued At Up To $16 Million
NEW OPPORTUNITIES - A Boeing Electron Dynamic Devices (EDD) work cell leader works on a 120-watt conducted cooled Ku-Band band traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA) with a linearizer inside the electronic power conditioner. The first 32 amplifiers were sold to Orbital Sciences Corporation in a $5 million contract for one C-band satellite with options totaling $16 million.
