Japan Airlines Buys More Boeing 777-200ERs

Japan Airlines (JAL) has ordered three additional Boeing 777-200ERs for delivery between 2003 and 2006. The new airplanes will be the first of a series of replacements for the airline's DC-10s fleet. JAL operates a fleet of 10 777-200s and -300s, with 21 additional 777s on backlog. The 777-200ER is the world's longest-range airplane and can fly non-stop from Tokyo to the East Coast of the United States.
