The Preston Group (TPG), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has sold a Total Airspace & Airport Modeller - Plus (TAAM) license to Crown Consulting, Inc.

Crown Consulting provides Airspace and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Technology Planning, and In-Flight and ATC Procedures Development for the FAA and NASA. The consulting firm is pioneering efforts to develop flight and ATC procedures geared to modern technology, combining analytical skills with the insights of aviation professionals and human factors engineers to play a leading role in planning and designing airspace in the U.S.

TAAM is a fast-time, gate-to-gate simulation tool used by civil aviation authorities, aviation research establishments, airlines, and airports worldwide to analyze operations, redesign airspace, optimize the use of existing facilities, and plan for the future.

Crown's selection of TAAM will offer an enhanced ability to perform airspace studies for the FAA and NASA. In addition, TAAM licensing offers Crown flexibility to improve air traffic procedures design and airspace project work. As one of TPG's primary TAAM trainers, Crown's purchase will enhance its training expertise and allow the firm to build on its simulation experience to include a broader customer base.
