Mike Sears (left), president of Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems, and Pat Finneran, vice president and general manager for the F/A-18 program, accepted the aerospace industry's highest honor May 3 - the Robert J. Collier Trophy. The 1999 Collier Trophy was awarded to Boeing, the Hornet Industry Team and the U.S. Navy for "designing, manufacturing, testing and introducing into service the F/A-18E/F multimission strike fighter aircraft, the most capable and survivable carrier-based combat aircraft."
