Sue Grimm, former senior manager for Boeing Space and Communications Group in Huntington Beach, Calif., is the new general manager of the Boeing-Spokane facility. Grimm replaces Tom Som, who recently accepted another position with the company.
Boeing Spokane produces floor panels, Air Control Systems (ACS) ducting and non-structural composite flight deck components. These products are shipped from Spokane to Boeing assembly plants in the Seattle area.
Prior to this assignment, Grimm had worked in various management positions for both the former McDonnell Douglas Corp., and Boeing. Her most recent assignment was senior manager, Advanced Production Composites. In this position, she was responsible for managing the Composite Business Unit for the Delta II, III, and IV launch programs.
Grimm attended the University of Phoenix, Fountain Valley, Calif., and received a bachelor of science in Business Administration. She also attended the Wharton School of Business, majoring in Financial Accounting.
Grimm has been a Boeing employee since 1979. Joining Sue on her new assignment will be her husband, Charles, and their 14-year-old son, Justin.
