Employees of Boeing and Alaska Airlines welcome the first Boeing Next-Generation 737-900 fuselage as it arrives at the Boeing final assembly plant in Renton, Wash. The fuselage traveled 2000 miles by rail across the U.S from Wichita, Kan. Alaska Airlines is scheduled to take delivery of the first 737-900 in April 2001. Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Korean Air Lines also have ordered the model.The Next-Generation 737 is the newest, most advanced commercial airplane family in its class.
