Boeing Sikorsky Comanche Team To Relocate

The Boeing Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche Joint Program Office will relocate from Philadelphia, Pa., to Huntsville, Ala., and be open for business by July 1, 2000. The new office is just minutes from the U.S. Army Comanche Program Management Office at Huntsville's Redstone Arsenal.

The new, 14,000-square-foot office will house about 30 staff members at Colonial Center at Research Park in Huntsville. The address will be 5030 Bradford Drive, NW, Building 48-100, Suite 100, Huntsville, AL 35805.

"By being located just two miles from our Army customer's team, we will be able to more fully respond with service and support," said Charles H. Allen, incoming JPO director, who will succeed current JPO director Arthur W. Linden. "We will provide state-of-the-art administrative and communication facilities for instant access to technical data from every member of the Comanche Team across the country. This access will guide Comanche smoothly into its Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase."

The RAH-66 Comanche, the U.S. Army's 21st-century combat helicopter, is being developed by U.S. Army Aviation and a team of leading aerospace companies headed by Boeing and Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
