Air Namibia's first 747-400 Combi, "Welwitschia," shows off its colors at Paine Field in Everett, Wash. "Welwitschia" - named to commemorate a prehistoric desert cactus, will be used for routes connecting Windhoek, Africa, to European cities - primarily Frankfurt, Germany. The 747-400 Combi will allow Air Namibia - the flag carrier of Namibia - to serve the transportation requirements of the important Namibian fishing industry without compromising its services to the passengers. The 747-400 Combi for Air Namibia will carry 284 passengers in a three-class configuration and carry up to 40 tons of cargo.
