Boeing 767-400ER Enters Final Stretch Of Production

The new 767-400ER (extended range) airplane stretches to its full, 170-foot wingspan thanks to recently installed wingtip extensions. The airplane is in final assembly in the Everett, Wash., factory. Electrical power in the airplane has been turned on for the first time in preparation to run functional tests, raise and lower the landing gear and operate the flight surfaces on the wing, rudder and horizontal stabilizer.

The 767-400ER is scheduled to roll out of the factory in August and make its inaugural flight in October.
