All Systems Go: Boeing Airplanes Will Fly Safely in 2000
Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group President Alan Mulally gives the "thumbs up" sign after a successful flight test to demonstrate Year 2000 (Y2K) readiness. Mulally was on board a Next-Generation 737-600 as it took part in a nine-airplane test program for Boeing airplanes. The flights confirmed earlier laboratory and simulation studies, proving that there are no safety of flight issues related to the Y2K date rollover.
