Advanced, highly integrated avionics will make the Boeing JSF easier to operate in the information-intense battlespace of the future. A vast amount of flight and mission data will be fused, sorted and presented to pilots in such a way that they can digest it quickly and act accordingly. Pictured here, the Boeing JSF cockpit demonstrator simulates the actual display panels, controls and other avionics functions that JSF pilots will use to successfully carry out their missions in the decades to come. The cockpit demonstrator features Boeing JSF capabilities in sensor fusion, ease-of-operation, lethality and survivability that are based on a modular, highly flexible, open-systems architecture that will easily accommodate a variety of upgrades far into the future.
