BONUM-1 Satellite Launch Scrubbed

Tonight's launch of the BONUM-1 satellite aboard a Boeing Delta II rocket was scrubbed during the closing minutes of a 41-minute launch window.

The scrub was due to inconsistent data telemetry readings between the satellite and the ground equipment. Satellite-builder Hughes Space and Communications is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the problem.

The launch team is working toward another attempt on Saturday, Nov. 21. There will be two windows of opportunity for the launch. The first launch window will be from 6:23 p.m. to 7:04 p.m. EST. The second launch window will be from 9:15 p.m. to 9:23 p.m. EST.

There will not be a live broadcast of this launch. For further updates, contact the Boeing Launch Hotline at (714) 896-4770.
