First Boeing Business Jet Rolls Out

The first Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) rolled out of the Renton, Wash. factory July 26. The high-performance Next-Generation 737-700 derivative can reach a cruising speed of .82 Mach, or approximately 550 miles per hour. The jetliner has a range of more than 7,140 miles (6,200 nautical miles). The BBJ offers three times the interior space of other long-range executive jets, allowing for greatly increased comfort and productivity for the owner-operator. First flight is set for late August or early September.
