Boeing Commercial Airplane Group today announced it has appointed Toby Bright to the position of vice president, Aircraft Trading. Bright will lead the company's effort to market used aircraft owned by Boeing to customers worldwide.
"While marketing used aircraft is not new for us, we recognized that we needed to raise the bar on how we provide value to customers who are considering used airplanes for their fleets," said BCAG President Ron Woodard. "Toby's rich experience in Sales and Customer Services, combined with the many strengths of our Aircraft Trading team, will ensure that we meet our customers' needs," he added.
Most recently, Bright was vice president, Maintenance Engineering and Publishing, where he was responsible to help support the fleet of more than 10,000 7-Series and MD-Series airplanes in service with more than 700 customers worldwide.
He previously served as regional director for Sales in Singapore, New Zealand and Hawaii and as sales director for the United Airlines account. He also worked in the Marketing organization as an analyst supporting Boeing sales campaigns.
Bright earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and holds a commercial aircraft pilot's license. He is active in community and charitable groups, including the Boy Scouts.
Born February 21, 1953, Bright is a native of Mullens, W. Va.
