Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 Receives FAA Approval

The newest member of the 737 family, the Next-Generation 737-700, today receives FAA approval to enter service as Don Riggin, office manager for the FAA Seattle Aircraft Certification Office, signs the airplane's type certificate. Looking on are Jack Gucker, 737/757 Derivatives vice president; Pete Rumsey, Next-Generation 737 chief project engineer; Allen Bailey, Next-Generation 737 chief engineer - certification and airplane performance; and Jeff Hawk, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group director of certification.
