Boeing PR Vice President Harold Carr to Retire; Larry Bishop Named as Successor

Harold Carr, vice president of Public Relations and Advertising, has announced his intention to retire, effective June 1, according to Boeing Chief Executive Officer Phil Condit.

Condit also announced that Larry Bishop, currently vice president of Investor Relations, will succeed Carr. In addition to assuming Carr's responsibilities, Bishop will retain overall direction of the company's Investor Relations program, and his new title will be vice president of Communications and Investor Relations.

"Larry has demonstrated outstanding communication skills in dealing with the investment community, and has helped focus Boeing management on the importance of shareholder value," Condit said. "He has spent the bulk of his career managing communications functions in the airline and aerospace industries, and will bring a broad-based perspective to his new task."

Bishop and Carr will begin the transition of responsibilities in mid-April.
