Boeing's Colorado Satellite Ground Operations Achieve AS9100 Certification

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 14, 2010 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today that the Boeing Mission Operations Support Center (BMOSC) in Colorado Springs has received AS9100 certification, an internationally recognized standard of quality, safety and technology. The BMOSC is home to several satellite ground operations and sustainment programs, including the Global Positioning Satellite system and the Wideband Global SATCOM satellite fleet.

"These credentials mean that our customers can continue to rely on us to provide the highest quality of ground sustainment and development operations and processes," said Sparky Olsen, director, Boeing Intelligence & Security Systems Mission Operations. "AS9100 certification is a competitive discriminator and will allow us to expand into new market areas that mandate AS9100, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certifications and compliance."

Independent auditors Det Norske Veritas conducted the certifying audit.
