Boeing to Showcase Portfolio of Defense Products at India's DefExpo 2008

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 11, 2008 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] will highlight its extensive portfolio of defense products and services at India's DefExpo 2008, Feb. 16-19 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

"We will be engaging with customers throughout the show to demonstrate Boeing's vast portfolio of programs and platforms offering advanced technology and capability that is available today," said Vivek Lall, vice president and India country head for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems. "The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet multirole combat fighter, the P-8I maritime patrol aircraft, the CH-47 Chinook medium-to-heavy lift helicopter and the AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter are just some of Boeing's defense products that uniquely match India's current and foreseeable defense needs."

The Boeing exhibit, located in the American Pavilion across from the U.S. Department of Defense exhibit, also will showcase the Harpoon, JDAM and SLAM-ER missiles, Support Systems programs and an F/A-18E/F simulator. Senior Boeing executives will attend the show and brief customers and the news media.

Boeing's news media schedule kicks off Feb. 14, with a media roundtable at noon in the Oberoi Hotel Business Center hosted by Boeing India President Ian Thomas. On Feb. 17, in the DefExpo Media Briefing Center in Hall 8, Chris Chadwick, president of Boeing Precision Engagement and Mobility Systems, will brief reporters on the status of the company's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, a contender for India's advanced new medium multirole combat aircraft. Later that day at 3 p.m., there will be a briefing on the P-8I maritime patrol aircraft. On Feb. 18 at 3 p.m., Boeing executives will brief reporters on the C-17 Globemaster III program.

  Boeing India President Ian Thomas will discuss Boeing's business strategy in India and current and future market opportunities for the company's commercial aircraft and defense businesses.
Sunday, February 17
12 p.m. F/A-18E/F Super Hornet Briefing -- DefExpo Media Briefing Center
  Chris Chadwick, president, Boeing Precision Engagement and Mobility Systems, will update the media on Boeing's advanced F/A-18E/F Super Hornet multirole combat aircraft.
 
3 p.m. P-8I Briefing -- DefExpo Media Briefing Center
  Richard Buck, international program manager for the P-8 program, will offer an update on the production status of the U.S. Navy's P-8 program and discuss the P-8I variant for the Indian Navy.
Monday, February 18
3 p.m. C-17 and Global Mobility Briefing -- DefExpo Media Briefing Center
  Mike Marshall, senior manager, Global Mobility Systems Business Development, will brief the media on Boeing's C-17 Globemaster III strategic lift aircraft.
