Clarification of Boeing Order Announcement at Paris

The Boeing Co. issued its final commercial airplanes Paris Air Show news release with a headline that was unintentionally misleading. To clarify, the new orders announced at Paris on Thursday, June 17, totaled 25 and are valued at $1.4 billion, based on average list price. To date at the Paris Air Show, Boeing has announced orders for a total of 62 airplanes, valued at $3 billion. The final tally does not include the 100-airplane ILFC announcement (plans for 50 firm orders and 50 orders subject to reconfirmation.) The ILFC firm orders will be added to the Boeing order book when a definitive agreement is signed. Including the orders announced at Paris, the total of Boeing announced orders for the year has reached 118, valued at $7.35 billion.
