EasyJet Takes Delivery of its First 737-300

EasyJet Airlines accepted its first, directly purchased Boeing 737-300 during a delivery ceremony at Boeing Field in Seattle on August 19. In 1997, easyJet ordered 12 Boeing 737-300s to expand and enhance its service from London to Continental Europe. The 12 737-300s will join a fleet of six 737s currently operated by the airline, increasing easyJet's all-Boeing fleet to a total of 18 airplanes. In July of this year, easyJet announced its continued commitment to Boeing, by placing another order for 15 firm and 15 options for Next-Generation 737-700s.
