Contract extension takes NASA-Boeing partnership for orbiting laboratory into third decade
HOUSTON, July 15, 2020 — Boeing [NYSE: BA], NASA’s lead industry partner for the International Space Station (ISS) since 1993, will continue supporting the celebrated orbiting laboratory through September of 2024 under a $916 million contract extension awarded today.
Japan becomes first international operator with V-22 capabilities
CAMP KISARAZU, Japan, July 10, 2020—Bell Boeing delivered the first V-22 Osprey to Camp Kisarazu in Japan on June DD. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) is the first operator of the V-22 outside of the U.S. military.
ST. LOUIS, July 13, 2020 – The U.S. Air Force awarded Boeing a nearly $1.2 billion contract to build the first lot of eight F-15EX advanced fighter jets to help the service meet its capacity requirements and add capability to its fighter fleet. The award also covers support and one-time, upfront engineering costs. Already under construction at the Boeing F-15 production facility in St. Louis, the first two jets deliver next year.
Last of 22 Apache attack helicopters delivered in June
NEW DELHI, India, July 10, 2020 - Boeing [NYSE: BA] has completed delivery of all new AH-64E Apache and CH-47F(I) Chinook military helicopters to the Indian Air Force (IAF). The final five of the 22 Apache attack helicopters were handed over to the IAF at Air Force Station, Hindan. Earlier in March, Boeing handed over the last five of 15 CH-47F(I) Chinook heavy-lift helicopters to the IAF.
First CMV-22B for fleet operations arrives at Naval Air Station North Island
NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, California, June 24, 2020 – Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, and Boeing [NYSE: BA] delivered the first CMV-22B for fleet operations to the U.S. Navy on June 22. The V-22 is based at Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron (VRM) 30 at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego.
The first operational Block III jet will be delivered to the Navy in early 2021
ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 17, 2020 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] delivered the first two F/A-18 Block III Super Hornets to the U.S. Navy for flight testing. One jet is a single-seat E model and the other is a two-seat F model.
SEATTLE, May 14, 2020 — The U.S. Navy received its 100th P-8A aircraft from Boeing [NYSE: BA] today as the global fleet, which also includes the Indian navy and the Australian and U.K. air forces, approaches 300,000 flight hours of hunting submarines and providing aerial reconnaissance capabilities around the world.
