BOSTON, July 8, 2015 – Anna-Sophia Boguraev from Bedford, N.Y., has been selected as the winner of the inaugural ‘Genes in Space’ competition, taking home the prize of designing one of the first autonomous DNA experiments to take place on the International Space Station (ISS). The experiment aims to test the effect of microgravity and cosmic radiation on the immune system in space. Boguraev (16) hopes to offer new avenues to enhance human health during prolonged spaceflight missions.

May 27, 2015NASA authorizes post certification mission under Commercial Crew contractHOUSTON, May 27, 2015 – NASA issued a task order as part of Boeing’s [NYSE: BA] $4.2 billion Commercial Crew Transportation Capability (CCtCap) contract recently to include the company’s first-ever service flight to the International Space Station. The award marks the first time in human spaceflight history NASA has contracted with a commercial company for a human spaceflight mission.

We stand ready to assist the Mexican government in any way we can to enable our customer to meet its communications needs for the people of Mexico. Centenario was the first of two satellites Boeing is building for the government’s Mexsat telecommunications system.
