Boeing Statement on SWISS Commitment for Three 777-300ERs

SEATTLE, Mar. 12, 2015 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] is pleased that the Lufthansa Supervisory Board has announced a commitment to purchase three additional 777-300ER (Extended Range) airplanes for Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). The order, valued at $990 million at current list prices, will be posted on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries website when finalized. The commitment follows SWISS’ previous order for six 777-300ERs in 2013.

“The 777-300ER has consistently proved its value as a reliable, efficient and comfortable flagship for airlines across the world, making it the perfect fit for SWISS’ future long-haul plans,” said Todd Nelp, vice president of European Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. “We are honored by today’s commitment for additional 777s from SWISS and look forward to finalizing the order.”

SWISS is part of the Lufthansa Group, serving 106 destinations in 49 countries from Zurich, Geneva and Basel carrying over 16 million passengers a year with its 95-aircraft fleet.
