SINGAPORE, January 20, 2026 — With growing market demand across Southeast Asia, Boeing [NYSE: BA] will highlight its portfolio of commercial airplanes, defense platforms and services at the Singapore Airshow 2026.
Boeing forecasts that Southeast Asia’s passenger air traffic will increase at a 7% annual rate, with regional airlines needing 4,885 new airplanes through 2044 to meet the increased demand. That fleet growth will require about 243,000 new aviation personnel in the region including more than 62,000 new pilots to fly and maintain the global commercial aviation fleet over the next 20 years.
“This region remains one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world,” said Penny Burtt, president of Boeing Southeast Asia. “The Singapore Airshow is an important opportunity for Boeing to engage with customers, governments, suppliers and universities to strengthen our partnerships on safety, innovation and sustainable solutions that meet the region’s long-term aviation and defense needs.”
On display at the show will be key Boeing autonomous products for commercial and defense customers.
