WASHINGTON, Sept. 13, 2011 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA], at next week's U.S. Air Force Association (AFA) Air and Space Conference & Technology Exposition, will highlight its role as a defense industry leader offering the networked solutions that the Air Force needs, for a price the nation can afford. The conference takes place Sept. 19-21 at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, Md.
"First and foremost, this annual AFA conference is an opportunity for Boeing to better understand the direction that the Air Force is heading, and the capabilities that it requires now and in the future," said Chuck Johnson, Boeing vice president, Air Force Mobility, C3 Networks and Support Systems.
"After listening to and working closely with our customer to understand their needs, Boeing can meet those needs like no other," Johnson added. "Only Boeing offers the truly diverse portfolio of fully integrated and affordable solutions that the Air Force needs to aim high, and fly, fight and win."
The Boeing exhibit this year will feature technology demonstration trailers for the KC-46 Tanker and the P-8 Aerial Ground Sensor aircraft. Other solutions that Boeing will highlight in its exhibit and media engagements include the Phantom Eye and Phantom Ray unmanned airborne systems; the C-130 Avionics Modernization Program; support and logistics services; and the Family of Advanced Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T).
