Boeing Demonstrates New Situational-awareness Application for Portable Devices

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 2, 2010 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] will demonstrate its DataMaster Lite (LT) situational-awareness application for military and civilian users of the latest portable devices, including the iPad, this week at the GEOINT Symposium in New Orleans.

DataMaster LT is a mobile software application that allows government users to browse video and imagery information.

"With the flexibility inherent in mobile platforms, this new application adds a better level of situational awareness to our customers' most critical missions," said Dewey Houck, director of Mission Systems for Boeing Intelligence & Security Systems. "With its ability to quickly search for and retrieve critical information, DataMaster LT gives intelligence analysts access to timely, relevant geospatial information that, in turn, provides a foundation for situational awareness."

In addition to DataMaster LT, Boeing also will demonstrate the DataMaster 5.0 product suite at GEOINT. The suite includes cloud-ready (web-based) applications and supports the common querying and secure sharing of large datasets, including video, imagery and maps.

The company also supports ground-based and other integrated intelligence and security solutions for a variety of U.S. government customers and is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of satellites for government, civil and commercial customers.
