OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 28, 2010 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today announced it has received a U.S. Navy contract valued at up to $19 million to provide engineering and technical services in support of aircraft operations worldwide.
Under the agreement, Boeing will provide contractor engineering technical services in support of a range of assets -- including AV-8B, F/A-18, F-15, F-22 and KC-135 aircraft -- at military installations in California, South Carolina and Florida, as well as in Kuwait, Spain and Malaysia.
"This contract is another indication that America's armed services turn to Boeing when they need innovative, efficient and cost-competitive field services," said Greg Deiter, vice president, Boeing Defense & Government Services. “Boeing's field services representatives deployed worldwide with the Navy are able to reach deeply into the company's knowledge base and provide complex solutions that help keep military assets mission-ready."
The three-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity contract extends a field services relationship between Boeing and the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, Calif., that dates back several years.
Since 2006, Boeing has been awarded more than $45 million to perform engineering technical services for a range of Navy aircraft. Boeing's field services representatives offer on-site proficiency training and provide expertise and guidance to resolve complex technical problems.
