The Boeing Company Statement Regarding Air New Zealand's Announcement to Purchase Four 787-9 Dreamliners

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today expressed its gratitude concerning the announcement by Air New Zealand, the national carrier of New Zealand, of its intention to purchase four additional 787 Dreamliners. We look forward to working with this key customer to arrive at a firm agreement to provide efficient and comfortable airplanes that will meet the airline's and its passengers' needs.

Air New Zealand was the second airline to order the 787. It placed its initial order for two airplanes in June 2004, and placed a second order for two 787s in October 2005.
