The Boeing [NYSE:BA] Surplus Sales retail store in Kent, Wash., will be closed for the Boeing winter break from Sunday, Dec. 21, through Tuesday, Jan. 6. The store will reopen on its normal schedule Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Regular hours are Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This time of year, the Surplus Sales store offers unique holiday gift ideas for unique individuals. Items for sale may include blocks or sheets of titanium and aluminum, leftover airplane carpeting, laser testing equipment and other unusual goods. Also available are everyday products such as laptop computers, office furniture and supplies and a wide variety of hand tools and shop supplies.

"Everything in the store has been used by the company, so you're also giving a little bit of Boeing," said store manager David White. "If you can transport it, you can even buy used factory equipment, such as a riveter or a forklift.
